- Threading the machine; winding and inserting a bobbin
- Thread tension, straight stitching and stitch lengths
- Zig-zag stitching, curves and pivoting corners
- Mimicking a serged finish with a domestic sewing machine
- Basic pant hemming
Day 2 — Patterns & preparation
- Patterns, cutting and construction order
- Cut pieces for your pillow, tote and toiletry bag
- Construct tote pockets and learn buttonholes
Day 3 — Pillow & tote
- Construct and finish the pillow; begin the tote bag
Day 4 — Tote & toiletry bag
- Finish the tote; begin the toiletry bag
Day 5 — Finishing skills
- Finish the toiletry bag
- Review zipper installation, seam finishing, pressing and professional finishing
- Troubleshoot common sewing mistakes and review course skills
